SSC CPO SI Exam Pattern 2026 

The SSC CPO 2026 examination consists of Paper-I, PST/PET, Paper-II, Detailed Medical Examination (DME), and Document Verification. Paper-I comprises 100 questions for 100 marks, with 25 questions from each subject, while Paper-II consists of 200 questions carrying 320 marks, including 100 questions from English Comprehension. Both papers are objective-type examinations, with 0.25 marks negative marking in Paper-I and 0.50 marks in Paper-II for each wrong answer. SSC CPO SI Paper-I Exam Pattern 2026  

The SSC CPO SI Paper-I consists of four sections covering General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and  English Comprehension. The Paper-I pattern has been revised from 200 questions and 200 marks to 100 questions and 100 marks. Each section contains 25 questions carrying 25 marks, making the complete examination of 100 questions for 100 marks.

  • Total Marks: 100 
  • Sections: 4 
  • Subjects: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and  English Comprehension
  • Questions per Section: 25 
  • Marks per Section: 25 
  • Sectional Time Limit: 15 minutes for each section 
  • Total Exam Duration: 60 minutes 
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. 
  • Normalisation: SSC may use the normalisation process wherever applicable. 

SSC CPO SI Paper-II Exam Pattern 2026 

The SSC CPO SI Paper-II is divided into four parts covering General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Parts I, II and III are conducted within a combined duration of 1 hour, with a sectional timer of 20 minutes for each part. The English Comprehension section is conducted separately for 1 hour, making the total examination duration 2 hours.

  • Part I – General Intelligence and Reasoning: 20 questions for 40 marks 
  • Part II – General Knowledge and General Awareness: 20 questions for 40 marks 
  • Part III – Quantitative Aptitude: 20 questions for 40 marks
